{"id":323,"date":"2025-10-07T17:57:11","date_gmt":"2025-10-07T17:57:11","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/540blog.com\/?p=323"},"modified":"2025-10-07T17:57:11","modified_gmt":"2025-10-07T17:57:11","slug":"yellowknife-day-1","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/540blog.com\/?p=323","title":{"rendered":"Yellowknife Day 1"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<div class=\"wp-block-uagb-container uagb-block-a5eb82be alignfull uagb-is-root-container\"><div class=\"uagb-container-inner-blocks-wrap\">\n<div class=\"wp-block-columns is-layout-flex wp-container-core-columns-is-layout-28f84493 wp-block-columns-is-layout-flex\">\n<div class=\"wp-block-column is-layout-flow wp-block-column-is-layout-flow\" style=\"flex-basis:66.66%\">\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Day one travel to YK NWT.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-medium-font-size wp-block-paragraph\">The day started early, we got up at 2am to get our first flight at 5am.&nbsp; First leg was from Halifax to Toronto.&nbsp; We got out just before the on coming snow storm.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-medium-font-size wp-block-paragraph\">Second leg is from Toronto to Edmonton, layover in Toronto is about 3 hours and we have lounge access so we spent our time in the lounge, had something to eat and drink.&nbsp; We got out just before the on coming snow storm again.&nbsp;&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-medium-font-size wp-block-paragraph\">Got to Edmonton without issue.&nbsp; Here we have about a 3 hour layover so we stopped to get a quick bite before our last leg to Yellowknife.&nbsp; The plane to Yellowknife was quite small, there were about 30 people on the plane.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-medium-font-size wp-block-paragraph\">15 hours from the time we left the ground in Halifax we found ourselves in the great white north.&nbsp; A little tired, we decided to go to the hotel restaurant and get a bite and a drink before bed.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-medium-font-size wp-block-paragraph\">We got lucky, we missed the storm in Halifax and in Toronto.&nbsp; All flights were smooth, and we&#8217;re not 100% sure how but we got meals with both Air Canada flights.&nbsp; The thought is that Krista&#8217;s credit card gives here meals on Air Canada flights.&nbsp;&nbsp;<\/p>\n<\/div>\n\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-column is-layout-flow wp-block-column-is-layout-flow\" style=\"flex-basis:33.33%\"><\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div><\/div>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Day one travel to YK NWT.
